Board of Directors
Meredith is the former Dean of the College of Education at Western Oregon University. Her professional experiences include being a teacher of deaf and deaf-blind children at the Oregon School for the Deaf, a researcher for a five-state region of special education programs at Teaching Research, and Chief of Programs for children and adults at the Oregon Mental Health Division. She spent three years as the Director of Special Education in Central School District with responsibilities for special education, talented and gifted education, counseling and health programs. At Western Oregon University she has served as a faculty member in the Division of Special Education, the Director of Field Services, and the coordinator for Total Quality Management. Meredith has worked throughout Oregon and the U.S. as a consultant to organizations in the area of continuous quality improvement and has published technical assistance materials in that area. Her consulting work has included programs for talented and gifted, families of chronically ill children and vocational rehabilitation services. She is currently a Commissioner for the Oregon Teacher and Standards Practices Commission and a member of the Governor’s Task Force on transforming K-12 schools. |
