Music Review

 Step 1:  Choose your option

            Option 1 – “At the Big Show”  (Live Review)

            Option 2 – “I Like Your Type of Music” (Favorite Type of Music)

            Option 3 – “Play that Song Again Sam” (Favorite Song)

            Option 4 – “I’m the Lyrical Poet” (Lyrical Analysis)

 Step 2:  Fill out Option Sheet

            Fill out each part of your sheet.  This will act as a brainstorm/outline.

 Step 3:  Write your Music Review

            Requirements –             a.  at least 4 clear paragraphs including all the information from your option sheet

b.      If you are planning on playing your music to the class (2 min max), gather lyrics at this point and have approved by teacher

Step 4:  Edit, Edit, Edit

            Check your draft for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.  Check that you have clear ideas and good organization.

 Step 5:  Final draft of Music Review

            Before turning in, make sure you have all of the following

                          Typed, clean copy of your music review

                          Staple the option sheet to the back

                          Staple approved lyrics if playing music

 Step 6:  Playing and Reading Your Music

            -2 minutes or less (timed) of your CD

            -Your review must be read to the class for the music to be played
