"What??" You may ask. "FIX the World Series?? How is that possible?"

 

Directions:

 

Complete the following task and questions based on the Critical Thinking requirements outlined on the portfolio assignment direction sheet:

 

1)     Complete a timeline for the years 1910-1920 based on the Timeline Layout requirements. (See portfolio assignment directions sheet).

 

 

2)     After learning about the 1919 Black Sox Scandal, browse the website at:

After reviewing the website, read the biographies for each of the eight players implicated in the scandal.  Select two players of interest and write a short biography in your own words describing:

 

·        The players baseball career

·        The role they played in the scandal

·        Their life after the scandal

 

Write one paragraph for each of the required sections.  Each biography should be three paragraphs in length.

             

 

3)  After reviewing your timeline, select what you consider to be the most important historical event of the decade (1910-1920).   Provide at least two reasons for your selection.  For each reason, write a one-paragraph explanation. Include a picture that represents your selected event.
