Part # 1: On an outline map of the United States, complete the following:

    1. Go to http://geography.about.com/library/maps/blusa.htm and click on the Merriam-Webster Map of the United States – After finding the map, neatly identify all 50 States on TWO SEPARATE outline maps (for small states you may use abbreviations). DO NOT COLOR IN YOUR MAPS YET!
    2. Go to: http://www.baseballist.com/history/seasons/

Click on the 1901 season. On the FIRST outline map, shade in BLUE all the States that had a professional baseball team. Create a key to identify the name and city of each professional baseball team (consider using symbols, logos and (or) abbreviations for your key).

Click on the 2001 season and go to standings. On the SECOND outline map, shade in GREEN all the States that had a professional baseball team. Create a key to identify the name and city of each professional baseball team (consider using symbols, logos and (or) abbreviations for your key).

    3. Neatly color or shade the rest of you map. Make sure your maps are colorful, include an appropriate title and have a correct key.
