Noel
Meador,
our student teacher from Western Oregon University, is currently
teaching two Physical Education classes that meet at the YMCA each morning.
The students have chosen to participate in one of the following
activities: basketball and other gym games, weight training/cardio fitness, or
raquetball.
The Community Schoolhouse again thanks the Salem Downtown YMCA for
donating the use of its facility for these classes.
The YMCA’s support of the Community Schoolhouse allows students
to earn a required Physical Education credit toward graduation, as well as
improve their fitness level and help manage stress through exercise.
